The cubic exhibit is an exploration of track para-athleticism and biomedical contributions that have powered the sport since 1980. Learn how Van Philips' mind created the competent device, the running blade, and study the science behind gravity. This presentation commends disabled athletes on their capability to power through gravitational challenges. Shifting Gravity: Surgical Science celebrates the irregularity in its content. It could be easy to select a grotesque typeface that is an outlier among its cohorts, but this exhibit is not to show an “otherness.” The typeface had to be an exquisite design with intelligent form and the capability to stand on its own. That could only be represented by the typeface, Proforma by Petr van Blokland.
